i was astonished when i see the ai NPC doing this he just crouch to have a better stance to shoot me

and this is not by chance

i died and died and tried a lot of times and always the same the NPC just chooses the best stance to shoot me, this is a good work by the programming team , congrats

The AI is pretty good now with plenty of space.
Its mainly indoors in tight areas I find they get stuck.

sometimes they get stupid but in general ai NPCs work fine
but even the ai from Escape from Tarkov game, sometimes do the same , and that is the best AI i know

but again GameGuru AI is very good and comparing i think in most of the cases they are at the top
i bought recently the sniper from HD characters and he enter a building after me, and even get the stairs , because for my admiration
he was in a house division in the first floor, it blow my mind, and i am not joking
but sometime they get a little stupid , i think it is again a memory issue, but i like a lot the GG AI in the NPC, zombies etc etc , pretty good indeed

and yet for some reason GG's AI is one of the most complained about things about GG, the user base baffles me sometimes.

Yeah, after a while the zombie AI will completely dysfunction if you memory cap out. They will just remain in place not functioning at all, or require the player it injure it before it will start its main loop. If you are using zombies you will need to optimize your level a lot.

I use Smallg's scripts … Awesome roaming and don't seem to stop for me.
I did this the other night as someone said GG couldn't handle any more than 3 characters … so I plonked down 3 and 10 zombies to prove a point ..

Nope its a script issue for the Zombies .. Like I said above Smallg's work fine.

Ok I did and it was smoother as they were all spaced out … same again 10 zombies, 3 soldiers, everything Highest detail.
Stayed a constant 60 fps with vsync on

I'll certainly won't knock any AI ever again you can drag and drop into the editor after working on setting up my own.
Videogame AI, even if you have prewritten scripts, is quite a tough cookie.

i learn with the time passing by to reedit the script codes of the ai characters etc etc and sometimes a can put a better version on my stage game, other times because i am no coder , i just mess up everything loll
one of this days i will try to see witch is the best coder for me here and mega a deal with him to code my games in GG, because i will not stop making game in this sometimes annoying engine

but i use others and they are all a pain in the ass , there are no such thing like an easy engine
just some better then other , but all with their now faults

GG just need a little push noting more , i say this all the time ,
i would like to have a specialised team of guys very very good in GG because wee would make a game that put a lot of them in the market in a corner i guarantee
with dedicated 3d assets and very nice coding made by really good guys ,not me , my friends , Metro game will be jealousy

i understand with time that the engine has a lot of potential , just do not have a 500 team dedicated people to make games and launch them in the market

yep, it's no easy task to make a "decent" AI that can stay decent in any type of (similar) game... GG AI is quite capable under the hood in terms of script logic
I would look at drag and drop type of AI as placeholder, just like throwing together a bunch of any random assets - if you want quality you need to put in the effort (or money).

"witch is the best coder for me here".

There is only one "best coder" here.

Unfortunately he 1) can't be bought and 2) is damn busy.
Been there, done that, got all the T-Shirts!

GG isn't really going to be worth all that much time and effort;
(a 100 member team) trying to make something like Final Fantasy,
PUBG, Batman or Marvel until several things are upgraded.

64 bit-- people say it's not worth it-- but this thread obviously proves
otherwise (memory), all of the lighting issues, texture, copy and paste,
broken stand-alone still wreaks havoc. I think they (who's that?) are
working on these, but until then, you would need the "work-around"
experts to get it up. Go GG!
