Hi Ya'all. I noticed these Beach Waves posted to the store.
Excellent idea! Most notable! (I hope they where animated!)
https://www.tgcstore.net/pack/10368

But a user has indicated that there is an issue with them since
PBR version, and no response from the artist (that I could see).
So I haven't picked them up yet.
Well, here's just some encouragement to anyone if they thought
also animated waves where a great idea.
Calling any pro-animators! Create some, or could these be fixed?

I believe the shaders need to be updated. As the dx9 to dx11 shift with GG has caused a lot of incompatibility. There is a newer animation shader that can be applied to fix this I believe.

Im assuming this issue is the same as the rainboxes and snowboxes.

The issue was fixed and those 'comments' were supposedly removed. That post is from a year ago, also pretty sure I 'commented' myself to inform of the fix but that seems to be gone maybe I missed the pack page. It would be a great idea for someone else to create the same product and perhaps they would have more success avoiding these problems than I have had. pack removed from sale so feel free.

Thanks rolfy! I never seen you on here before, or
I'd PM you. If they fixed, I be sure to try your waves!
It's a super idea!

I remember having some issues with the shader when GG made the DX11 move as they stopped working. I fixed some of the issues by replacing the dx9 shaders with the equivalent ones in GG. Only issue left was a transparency thing which didn't seem to have a replacement in GG.
Pity about taking them off the store as it was really GG's update that broke them and as such not really the artists fault.
I think I have a video of them in action somewhere, they are pretty cool. Probably my first New Beginnings WIP, although they would have been in the dark and hard to spot I'm pretty sure.

A cool feature to have (I know we don't really want any until GG is in better shape) would be to be able to plot an outline around or along a shore line and have waves positioned as needed to create something like this out of the box Similar to road tools in say the original Farcry engine. Road tools would be nice too But only once the current batch of issues are mostly fixed. Or of course to get GG to just do it automagically when terrain goes above the water level

Yes, looks like they are gone. Why?
If they work, I would use them!

BTW DVader -- I got your boat script!
Been messing with it, it works great,
now just need some waves!
