I most use Gimp, so I save as dds BC3/DXT3 or try BC3/DXT5 plus mipmap.
Transparency = 3 in fpe file.

Notice just the glass being trasparent, but wooden frame does not.
If you want the whole process let me know.

well i tried i think over 100 times now, and i can not get it to work…
even just a simple plane and i made a almost black texture , so it should be transparant then.
save as 3 as 5 with and without bitmaps . fpe change from 1 to 2 , 3 or 4 or 5 or 6 every time it keeps almost black in GG, no transparancy.
tried apbr_basic.fx with texture xxx_color.dds and entity_basic.fx, with xxx_D.dds, so i really do'n know what i am doing wrong.

please anybody??

Do you want to send me the texture and I'll give a try? even the model if you want to.
You are using Max though, if so, I'm using max 2015.

Adjust transparency in your art program. Saving with the right dds compression (DXT5 or so) and you got it. You don't require mipmaps.
