I have just started to go back to this from the November 2018 update i loaded my previously saved map , started editing it last night everything was fine with it , today i thought id try out the new spotlights i placed 1 tested the game then went to edit it to increase brightness , i then saved changes and then it started floating upwards and wouldn't stop i deleted it and carried on i clicked on another entity and this allso floated up, i closed GG and re loaded it again and tried a different saved map , now every time i click on an entity or place a new one it floats up and i cant use GG anymore .
Any idea's i tried googling and looking on forum for floating asssets/ entity's and it just says about the bug that they float a few feet off the ground not upwards into infinity one post said about baked light so i changed then to real time but still the same ?

I would start with a file verification first.
Then another reboot.

Iv done 2 file verifications 1 said 43 files then second said 2 , i am now backing up the files folder incase i lose all my custom entities,then im going to uninstall completely and re install GG from steam .

Also check and see if your keyboard has a stuck key. Sometimes this happens.

Well iv re-installed GG and it still did it i then ran a program to see if any keys are stuck and it came back negative i also hit every key , then just out of curiosity i pressed left shift and pgup and the entity stopped floating up now this key wasnt stuck as i would have had to hold left shift as well to create the entity to move just holding pgup it wont move shift has to be held and sure enough it moves up , it seems to be fixed now , ifit happens again i will try holding shift and pgup again ?

I thought i was the only one this was happening to. I'm not even sure how i fixed it.

Ever since that issue got resolved however now my delete key does not delete entities.
