Hi guys! My apologies for trying to post this question in the free media section. I've been working with Game Guru for just over a year now and have mastered quite a bit but the thing that I can't seem to master is importing original character models from Fuse(old) or MakeHuman 1.1. I have FBX2GG, 3DS Max 2017, Blender, and Maya 2018 but when I decimate mesh before or after properly uploading a MakeHuman character to Mixamo, FBX2GG says it cannot recognize a certain line. If I do not decimate mesh at all it says there are over 22000 faces. And for a larger RPG, the GG character creator is very limited in assets, so original characters don't extend very far. I have followed all tutorials, using the .obj, .mtl and mesh files (.png) into a zip folder. I even tried to correct the lack of decimation in Mixamo. If I use Fuse (the old Steam version), it will not include meshes into the model. Any ideas on how I can properly import and rig FBX characters?

Are there any ways I can edit or import character creator assets as I have not found any in the store?

I read this post and downloaded the pdf and followed directions to a T. Edited the .mtl file and it uploaded fine to Mixamo, mesh on model, and downloaded fine but will not upload into FBX2GG saying a line could not be read. I had tried ecimating mesh before and after uploading to Mixamo as it said it was still greater than 22000 faces even though 3DS Max showed it had almost half. Am I doing something wrong?

are you running Windows 10? have you tried running FBX2GG in compatibility mode for windows 7 and give it admin rights, also if I remember rightly if another DBPro app is running in the background it can cause and issue with FBX2GG.

you really need to get it below the 22k otherwise FBX2GG will not process it.

I would recommend creating a basic character in MakeHuman (follow Myke's Guide) and see if you can get a basic character to work first to rule out issues with FBX2GG

I am running Windows 10 and I was not using those settings. The character is now loading into FBX2GG and I will let you know the results shortly. Thank you very much!

All is working perfectly now! Thank you! Just editing the FPE template and am testing it out soon. The forums here have provided me with much and I have gained much knowledge. I knew nothing about programming a year ago and am soon attempting to write my first LUA so I will keep you updated. I hope to provide the forums with assets in the future! Long live Game Guru!!
