Hi.
Is there any way to use preservetangents=1 with the weapons (HUD.X) ?
I use it with all my entities in the fpe.. but I do not know how to use it with weapons.

Yes, Just insert the statement into the gunspec file. This was added specifically for the weapons huds.

Thank Errant AI also. He got all that stuff into GG. In the new tutorial section is the latest gunspecs with comments on what 90% of the stuff is for.

what is preservetangents ? and what is good for ?
My PC specs: AMD FX 4300 3,80 Ghz
R9 280 3GB

Tangent space. Normal vectors in a normal map are expressed in tangent space where normals always point roughly in the positive z direction. Tangent space is a space that's local to the surface of a triangle: the normals are relative to the local reference frame of the individual triangles

This setting allow the model to retain this and not get flipped around in GG giving you those ugly spots or reversed shadows.

The model must be exported to x file with the tangent space info included.
