I'm still crashing with the DX 11 version and that sucks because I love all the new features! Editor seems to lag/lock up after entity's reach a certain populated amount either in editor and during test game! I ran the DXDiag and noticed I have DX 12 …..is that an issue???

thanks for any help

Not usually, everyone with Win 10 will have DX12 loaded but there are very few programs that actually use it.
Been there, done that, got all the T-Shirts!

I'll be honest I haven't experienced GG crashing very often of late. Perhaps you are pushing the memory limits here? DX12 should not cause any issues at all by itself. It's quite normal to have several versions of DX installed these days. It's annoying that MS has made DX O/S specific (since Vista) as GG could have jumped onto DX12 early then instead of DX11. As it is, devs have to consider the overall user base and sales potential. This is one reason why DX12 is still not really utilised much as yet, many games being wrapped to work, rather than directly supporting it.

Looks like I got this....Went into the Steam/steamapps/Common/Gameguru folder and set Gameguru/Gameguru-Lightmapper/Gameguru-MapEditor Applications all to run in compatibility mode for Windows 8! No more crashing …..this make sense since my 5 year old Lenovo y510p came with windows 8!

…..anyhoo thanks all for your input!
Moving forward
