--UPDATED AS OF FEBRUARY 10th--

(Quick Note: This is my first game project)

GAME TITLE: Psalm of Salem

DEVELOPER: Mirror Glass Games

DESCRIPTION: Deep in an ancient forest, where unstoppable diseases and plagues ravage the land, lay the village of Gossamer, a community of the long abandoned mentally insane and deranged. Discovered as a young child left in the woods to die, you are Salem Crowe, now-adopted daughter of the Crowes, a family of wealthy religious zealots whom rule Gossamer with a watchful eye. Surrounded by only the mentally ill, you alone must discover the dark twisted secrets of the forest, and unearth the relics of your very own past.

CHARACTERS SO FAR:

Name: Salem Crowe
Description: Adopted into the village's wealthy overlords known as the Crowes, Salem is one of Gossamer's few individuals whom have not succumb to any of the forest's mental diseases. A shy and reserved teenager, Salem has spent most of her life locked away in the manor of the Crowes, pondering on her past as she watched from her bedroom window at a village writhe with mystery and sickness.

FUTURE FEATURES PLANNED:

- Game with an emphasis on detailed maps and realistic appeal
- Animated cinematic cut scenes using external 3D animation renders
- In-depth dialogue and storytelling through interacting with various characters
- Beautiful and emotional soundtrack
- Cinematic storytelling: The game is about invoking enriching gameplay through storytelling

--MAJOR UPDATES--

The game has taken a dramatic turn in direction, focusing on a darker and more horror-like experience than previously. Thus, some original videos have been removed, and new game play footage will be released soon to show the new game's atmosphere.

This is really a beautiful forest scene. If the transparency borders on the trees disturb you, you can test the tree shaders: tree_basic.fx or apbr_tree.fx
Great job.

Pretty slick. I really like where this is going.

Observation: Music is great but the lack of ambient forest sounds makes it feel a little off.

Ramiro, I like the video, and with the music, it create a feeling like some this is going to pop up out of the water at any time.
Nice. keep up the good work.

I would consider custom ruins though rather than the old GG church …
Its been used to death and it just kills the scene for me …. but that's just my opinion ..
Other than that its looking amazing

--Major Updates and Revisions--

The game has taken a completely different direction since last update, focusing on a more darker and twisted narrative. It is still heavily focused on storytelling and storyline, rather than action combat. Old maps have been revised or removed to fit the new darker narrative (see original posts to view the updates).

Here are screenshots of a flooded cemetery map, a good example of how the new atmosphere and theme will look:

Like the new direction and story. Can't wait to see some gameplay with darker narrative. Just my cup of tea.
