I've seen what Lee said and I have seen the Dx11 issues and that you need to split your audio now but nothing is working for me now. The bad part is I didn't know of this issue until after I have finished the first hour of cutscenes ..... does anybody have a fix or is this something that's being fixed in the next update or soon?

They work fine, you must be doing something wrong.

The only issue (apart from having to split the audio is just annoying) is that you cant use them over a start marker, a character has to move (just a fraction) from the start marker for sound to run.

To get around it (and there are multiple posts on here about it) you can use a script to move you to the video marker and it will work fine.

Primary Desktop:
i7 7700,k NV1070 8GB, 16GB 3200mhz memory, 1x 2TB Hybrid, Win10.

Secondary Desktop:

Laptop:
i3, Intel 4000 series graphics, 6GB memory, 1x 500gb HDD, Win8.1.

Right now its a case of splitting the audio to a separate track and adding Audio and Video it to the properties in the story zone as separate files and right now there is no work around … It does work though although not the most convenient way of doing things.

What does not work at the moment is placing the Story Zone over the player Start Marker ..
The Video plays but the sound its not triggered .. I know Lee has mentioned looking into video and sound together again but no updates on that so far

This worked as a fix for slaur3n's xmas game.

(edit the value in the SetGlobalSoundSpeed call to get the sound to match up with the video if need be)

Oh and if it wasn't obvious, change the audio file loaded by the script for your own.

PS, if you're staring at '40000' and wondering … that's the bit rate for the audio file, i.e. 40Khz in this case.

This should work.

Just add this code to any item (make it dynamic), place it close to the player start marker (away from the storyzone), add an item in the storyzone. Grab it's name and then add that to the if used section in your first object (near the player).
