Hello! Im new to Gameguru, I was loyal to the FPSC for years "back in the day" and im now trying to find my whereabouts in GG.
I was wondering, how i could show a Text via Textzone only once and for a short time period? As opposed to everytime I enter the zone?

Thank you in advance

That doesnt seem to work for me. I copied the script into the editor, saved as an .lua, assigned the script as main to a dynamic entity and nothing happens. No "Your text here" appears, nor does the entity disappear. What am I doing wrong? Or do I need to put your script at the END of an entity default script?

you need to save the LUA as text1.lua and assign it to a dynamic entity when a player is within 150 units the text will appear for 4 seconds
make sure your filename matches your _main and _init

Actually, the script works just fine with a textzone, tried that yesterday. But ive noticed some problems with the distance parameters, everything below 150 doesn't really seem to work. So I might come back to your holderblock suggestion!
