hehe this is funny think it was 100km seems more like 1000 km not got frpm one end to the other yet rofl just drop into your entities folder and onto the map press 2 until its level 6x presses and you have the biggest survival terrain ever in GG lol
( I get no fps drop) I'm doing one with mountains and hills next will post when its done.
Edit new one has rolling hills (both need to be set to isimobile = yes)

World 1 map its huge I have just started to populate this but keep getting lost lol so have put buildings on to test

Its a bit of fun to see how far GG will actually let you go and its a long long way i ran a free flight run from the middle and 5 mins later i was not at the edge so its massive and trying to run it lol well it'd take hours probebly so im juggling to see whether its actually too big and needs reducing, still no fps drop, so next i'm going to increase the texture size and make up some matching mountain ranges see how it handles it.

if you want to test it for yourself please let me know what results you get would maybe make a great multiplayer or open world type project

new world map zip below

The map size is just crazy Myke problem is the textures need resizing but I've just completed the first place able mountain range
which turned out quite nice

Not on the ground with the default character but you can with the aircraft script so I presume it could also be done via scripting. It's a good point though m8 would be nice if Lee or someone could turn that off so we could use the full potential of these size maps.

The player limits are set in the gameplayercontrol.lua script:

Just comment them out.
Been there, done that, got all the T-Shirts!

Aha Cheers m8 nice one will have to play with that lot
Edit : works like a charm heres the test on a map 6x the standard size the pillars represent the corner edge of GG terrain note the mountains placed over the border. Next working on getting the terrain to look clearer and bigger maps then populating them to see how the fps holds up.
