I have been reading the forums but cant find any on how exactly to use a script. I have downloaded many and tried to figure it out on my own, but no luck. A script like moving platforms or rpg, I can edit lua ok but i have no idea were to use it! Is there a tutorial im not seeing on how this works?

Scripts can be assigned to objects thru the property panel.
Left mouse click on an object and press property.
In the AI_Main section is were the scripts are assigned. Do keep in mind that any object you want to use a script on needs to be dynamic.
That is up above there were it says Static. Choose no.
Change is immobile to 1 if it is not a character, or it will fall to the ground when running test game.
Choose OK, and press test game to see the results.


You can also assign your scripts thru the FPE file for an object. The line is AI_Main and the script path and name will be listed there. Look at some of the stock characters to see how the pathing is.
