So maybe im missing something, but i'm messing around with lighting some more and i'm noticing that my normal maps don't seem to be working with static lighting. Specular seems to work a little bit, just not getting anything from my normal maps. The only solution I've found is to place a static light, then place a dimmer dynamic light right next to the static light, which isn't really something i want to do for a whole level because then i'm tweaking values for two lights instead of one, thus making it more difficult to get the result i'm looking for. I will say however that the lightmapper does seem to be working a little better than my previous attemps, not sure if it's been improved or if i'm just doing something different. I just wish that my effects maps would work without having to use dynamic lights. Anyone have any insight on this?

I haven't messed with the lightmapper for quite some time and especially as of late since I believe it's still being worked on, but are you using the PBR shader with D,N, and S textures?

I'm using entity_basic.fx since I've read pbr doesn't work well indoors yet, not sure this is true but I could whip up some pbr textures and test it out.

Try adding this statement to the FPE file and re test.

PBR works just fine indoor, just have to turn on dynamic global illumination in the setup file, even with or with out it works fine, The new Cold War DLC is an indoor enviroment.
