I understand that the ammo and life HUDs are found in:
common\Game Guru\Files\languagebank\neutral\gamecore\huds\

I know that they are controlled via the gunspec file in the game core for each weapon.

I know that the settings are as follows:
;// GUN HUD (0-colt,1-magnum,2-uzi,3-shotgun,4-rifle,5-rpg)

Here is my question.
Is there no other way to use any HUDs for this than the default HUDS the ones that come with GG?

I did this awhile back.

The same sort of thing could be applied to ammo and guns I imagine. You could probably alter the defaults to look different as well.
SPECS: Ryzen 1700 CPU. Nvidia 970GTX. 16 Gig Memory. Win 10.

About the pictures in the hud just under the numbers for the ammo.
I am not looking to turn them off and on or build a new health hud.
I am looking to add another picture for the weapons hud, add it to the existing selection.
If I am using a custom weapon how do I get my own picture for it to show as well as the ;// GUN HUD (0-colt,1-magnum,2-uzi,3-shotgun,4-rifle,5-rpg).
I have created my own hud but cannot find the way to get it to show just below the ammo display.

@Incenseman2003, Hi to create your own icon all you need to do is create a png and call it icon.png make sure it as a transparent background and the actual weapon image is pure white, then in the gunspec.txt add or change this line 'statuspanelcode = 100'

This seems far too simple.
I tried it and it did not work.
There must be something more to it.

Also the new weapon fires and if the cross hairs are below the horizon I can hear the firing sound, However if the cross hairs are above the horizon I cannot hear the firing sound.
I have tried a number of things and have not found a fix.
What would you suggest?

If it didn't work then there must be something you have done wrong because that is how it works, and it does work.

gunspec.txt you can find in where you download GG from steam and go to "...Files/gamecore/guns" and open folder where is the gun you need change HUD. open gunspec.txt find "statuspanelcode" and change to 100, and the HUD icon copy into folder where you change gunspec.txt

Making custom weapons is not easy, changing the HUD is probably the easiest part of it, and yes it is that simple

I appreciate your help.
I truly do.
I followed what you said to the letter.
The script change that you outlined I have done exactly what you suggested. No other changes were made to the script.
The PNG icon that I created. It has a transparent background and the weapon image is white.
The result was not as expected.

its no problem, you icon was a little too big, I have done one for you the icon.png needs to go into \files\gamecore\guns\'your gun folder' it needs to be in the same place as your gunspec.txt file

Dude! That is awesome. It did not occur to me that the size would be a factor.
Works like a charm.
Thanks a ton.
