Have now started work on a library of rundown shack models, I thought I would show images of my progress...
As winter is coming and the restoration of my mgtd is complete I need a new modeling project.

Shack number 12...

In my current test map including all 12 shacks, a bunch of grass and several custom trees, the number of draw calls remains in the 250 to 274.
I have no idea if this good or bad, just some information.

One more time...

Information.. the shack models that appear tipped or not level are actually level as a mode, the tipping is done while in the GG editor (really I've not been drinking while making models), …. well maybe just a little, …. on occasion.

The work comes from trying to keep polys low. Can't use a lot of smoothing/mesh commands, so things have somewhat of a dull block appearance. Gota work with what ya got I guess.

But I do appreciate you taking the time to follow the progress...

Here is the latest model...
I'm not real happy with several of the shacks, so I am in the process of a few revision. I need to upgrade the quality of some of my work.

Not real happy with the fuzzy videos so I may try a different video software. Nvidia is not doing the image recording I expect.

Yes, I will have them in the store after a few cracks at re-texturing several of the models. Give me a couple of weeks... Thanks for taking an interest. There are (at the moment) 17 models, But I would like to try for a round number, say 20.

as in a swamp, with the all-wood path that connects the houses, they could also be exploited like that. they are done really well.

I am about to enter the dull process of introducing the shack models to the store. But before I do so I would like to know any thoughts on including the following message with the models. should I or not. I don't want to create separate versions using the older D,S,N.dds files.

"NOTE: All of the oldshack models require access to the apbr_basic.fx file. If you are using a beta version that does not support the PBR fx effect commands, then you might want to refrain from purchase.
The models are designed with extended support piers, allowing users to adjust the objects floor level in relation to the terrain. (a feature that will allow visual support for objects to be placed in transparent water if required)"

Due to a problem I found in my oldshack models, those who have purchased before 11/8/18 should update your purchased items. I have updated the items in the store. I am really sorry for the blunder.

The mistake I made was thinking I needed a transparency setting in the fpe files of "6" to make the window glass transparent, wrong... that setting caused problems if the models are sitting in the water (from different player locations the piers would chop off at the waterline and not be visible below the water. Problem fixed!

INFO:
Open the GG editor, click on "file" then select "download store items" to update all of the your shack models.

Turns out that my system of creating transparent glass to be included in the x file does away with the requirement for transparency settings in the fpe file beyond "1".

Again sorry for the mess up.
