Hi ,
One way to do it is to make an exact copy of level one with a new name and with the start marker where you want it to be
So it looks like you are back where you left off. Then you can have your end marker lead to whatever new level you would like it to.
Would that work for what you want ?

Let\'s actually make something happen with this one !

Could try putting a check point by the door.

I've been working on a script to possible sort this issue out however.

A script could do this - when you leave level 1 for 2 write to a file. Add another script (or could be the same one) in level 1 that is always active, so if it finds the file then transport the player to the door used to exit to level 2, if it doesn't find the marker file then it is known that it is first time in level 1 so don't transport, leave player at start marker. Can use this method for lots of levels moving to and from all of them if work out what to put in the file before hand - could put co-ords of the level to teleport to when level is re-used etc in the file.

Definitely possible, needs some scripting though as Teabone says.

Cheers.

I would use the way UNIRD12B explained. It's the easiest way to go back to "Level 1"

It also depends on what level 1 is supposed to look like after you have gone through it to get to level 2. So may need to reset other parts of level 1 not just player position when return to it, so this could be done by saving the status into file. Could get more complicated depending on the game scenario.

Cheers.

Yeah, this is something I would find useful too

Would it be possible to hijack the save feature that is already in stand-alone?
Player moves to level 2:
1) script tells system to take snapshot of level 1 in current status and saves to slot x
2) load level 2 (or 3 or 4 or...)
3) when player goes back to level 1, script tells system to load the level from slot x

Never really tried the save game feature, so not sure if it saves that kind of info

Reliquia....

What would be hand is if there was a way to move the start player to where you exit when the player moves to level 2 and then save it. Is there any way of doing this in code.

I've got something to say - It's better to burn out than fade away.

I also need this feature too, when game guru will be able to use the map sizing it would be nice to be able (in a medieval game) to enter various dungeons or some sewers and then return to the first level evertime, a bit like you do with rest of the role-playing games (see sacred 2, lineage 2, etc)

If you only need to get back to level one at the same place were your start maker is then its easy you just put win zone's at the places were you want to explore and it will load that level, if you have Finnish exploring that tunnel / level then that win zone take you back to level one , you just do the same with level 2 or 3 depending on how many level you want to go to and then come back to level one.

to get back at the exact place were you have entered , i am not sure , maybe have to be a script like every one here has stated
