Hello friends,

Maybe somebody can help me. I'm just trying to make the clothes of a NPC completely white, unfortunately it does not work. There is always something pink in the color / White.

I've also tried manually to change the .bmp file by uploading and editing it in Photoshop including the update for the .bmp files. But everything without success. Can someone explain to me what work steps I had to do or how it works? Thank you in advance.

From what I can see the pink is shadow. Just pure white may not look right however why its pink is a mystery unless the palette is somehow bleeding into it ..

Could you just give this one a try ?
see if its any better ..

I Basically converted dds to bmp …. Grey scaled the pink area in paintshop pro ( its old but what I use )
saved it and then converted bmp back to dds .. Not ideal but did the job.

It may pay you to report it as a possible bug in GitHub
Meanwhile i will be happy to rectify any others you may have with that problem

Going by what i was told by a developer from FunCom (age of conan, the secret world, anarchy online etc.) some time back in response to a request for pure black and white clothing on characters, you will find similar issues in most game engines, apparently it's because pure white and pure black are mask colours in most shaders/renderers, so if you try to use pure black or white in game engines you get strange effects like that, whether it's still true or not i don't know this was years ago, i also remember a dev mentioning similar on the EverQuest and Star Wars Galaxies forums around that time too.
