How do you hide zones so you can edit what's underneath? Take a look at the image, I have a barrel underneath the zone. I know i can move the zone but is there a way to hide it to edit what's underneath without moving it?

Not that I have found. There is not a lock option in the widget menu.

I checked this last night, all the zone markers have "lock" in the widget menu for me.

They do, but the star points are able to be adjusted while it is in the locked mode.

I put in a request a few years ago for a "View" option for Game Guru (which is standardized by most game engines) whereas you can choose to hide the following:

Hide/Show Entities
Hide/Show Builder (EBE)
Hide/Show Trigger Zones
Hide/Show Lights
Hide/Show Water
Hide/Show Terrain

And hiding them would prevent you also from selecting them. This would be a much easier method for editing then having to lock individual entities or markers, which can be very difficult to do in complex designed maps. Hiding the water and terrain helps with finding entities that have fallen below the map.

Maybe some day we could get something like this
