I can attach a light to player entities using lua, but can we rotate spotlights using lua now, or are the commands yet to be added?

I'm curious about the same thing. If lights (more specifically spotlights) are able to be moveable and attached, it could be an alternative to the existing flashlight.

Yes it works well as an alternative to a flashlight, you can make the fog thicker and closer to the player and of course limit the camera viewing distance too.

That improves framerate greatly.

Thank you AmenMoses!

The lamp.lua script appears to work by assigning to a dynamic entity. And what does the lamplight.lua do? Or is it required by the first script?

lamp.lua is attached to the lamp/torch entity, lamplight.lua is attached to the light, i.e. a dynamic spotlight. I doubt if they will work properly for you as they are, I only posted them so you could see how to use the Lua commands.

Ah, okay. Thank you anyway, I usually learn best by looking at existing code rather than trying from scratch. The commands and whatnot will help me.
