Here are some spot light objects that can be used. They have a new symbol and it points in the direction of the spot light.
You have to set the spot light on in the properties, until we get the FPE statement to set it up in there.

These will not register in the _markers folder in the editor for picking.

Put them in any other folder for use.

This is brilliant … I just said to Myke ..
i almost wonder if the lights should be selected from the interface at all ... we could have a variation of Normal spots, flashers etc all from the add entity function in their own groups

Well done and kudos, Myke. It will be very handy for me to use. I have no problem just by putting them in a separate folder. Since Entitybank doesn't like any other subfolders that start with an underscore, I named it "A_Markers Spot Lights." This still puts it close to the top.

This is fantastic! Is there any way to change the sharpness of the lights edge?

All I have figured out was saw the cone angle hard coded at 24 degrees right now. Still a pretty new feature.

So the farther away from an object the spot is, the larger the spot will be. But there are really no shadows yet, so the light just falls off.

Need to turn the range up in them a bit for distant shots.

Preben will have the answers to what we all seek right now.

Of coarse I am. Would be nice if they could be set to spot light from the fpe file for ease of use.

They do work good. A few lua commands to get them to rotate would be awesome for light houses and search spots.

Shadows of course.
