Hi, links to the tools now added here.
Ensure all tools are run as administrator.

no password necessary.

AutoWelder v1.9 (successor to SegAutoWelder)
https://btcloud.bt.com/web/app/share/invite/l3eeOKPdij
v1.9-minor fixes to configuration process. scaling disabled on the transformation gizmo.
v1.8-fix to v1.7 re: configuration, restriction code removed if auto detect of GG install path failed and detection of AWconfig.ini code added.
v1.7-added manual config for install paths if auto config doesn't work or users installed in custom paths/drives eg. D: F: etc
plus other fixes.

v1.6-external tools can now be called from main menu buttons i.e. EW/WW/FPI2LUA.
v1.5-fixed FP2LUA button image not showing, updated "About text" and added FPI2LUA functionality (call to the app), so you can now run the convert tool from the main editor. all external tools will be called/reside in the new "tools" subfolder.
v1.4 some small fixes applied including a bug causing app to bomb out on the FPSC level side during texture renaming.

Heightmap 2 GameGuru v3.0 (split map GUI/options not functional-testing ongoing):
https://btcloud.bt.com/web/app/share/invite/xqwgQFcOD5

Version 4.0 currently being worked on.
Features for v4.0 will include but NOT limited to:
-- Split map to create up to 4 quadrants
-- Fuse up to 4 separate maps
-- GUI updates
-- Convert Normal map to Height map
-- plus more...

Load in an image, change scale and other options if required and press "Process Image" button. You then load in the terrain map the normal way as you would any other GG map. Heightmap imported terrains are stored here --> mapbank\heightmap_imports->BLANKMAP.fpm. Load in as normal and save under a different file name if you are happy with the results.

DBO2X (v1.4):
https://btcloud.bt.com/web/app/share/invite/tciDopckpZ
Program to be reworked in places.

edit .ini file on your root drive for modifying configuration.

Is there any character importer or perhaps an easy to use character animator or something like that? Or is that too complicated? I once saw that the gamecreator site sild a tool for animations back in the times of FPSC... Any idea if we could get that back or?

Today, I have uploaded FPSC classic FPI 2 LUA converter, last version was 1.4 and this was originally free with the SegAutoWelder purchases. Have a play around with it. Still lots to do so nowhere near 100% perfect.

re-opened thread. Sorry had gmail account hacked but resolved now. Will be adding links back in as soon as possible. HM2GG and DBO2X (v1.4) are available using links above.

[update] - Weapon / Entity Welder and FPI2LUA now available again . Pls use link(s) above.

All tools are still being updated even though it's been a while. FPI2LUA will be updated as GUI re-incarnation as with most tools.

@osiem80: As an alternative: here is a tutorial on how to convert the weapons manually. The plus side is that you get the shader working properly.

Thanks Bored of the Rings m8 for doing the updates... You should consider if you plan to do newer versions of
the apps charging again like other software developers do for the updated version. I just paid
£100 for my video encoding software for the version 10.

I'm sure that most people would not mind paying nominal fee for your latest updated work, just my
2p on the subject.

Thanks for your hard work in the past and if you plan further in the future...

regards SC

Ok, does anyone know how I can get the heightmap to gameguru tool??? I seriously need it, and I keep getting a 404 error from Google. Any help would be appreciated. I wish I would've known about this sooner.

It is to hard to explain. The magic was getting into the FPM file so the editor could load it up.
Not impossible but it was just over my head.
Unfortunately this tool is no longer available.

In the FPM file which is a zip file with a different name the file is the m.dat file.
Something about the bits have to be from 0 to 1023.

This use to be the DB code before it went to C++

Just to let everyone know, I finally got the heightmap tool, thanks a ton Bored Of The Rings!

ALSO -- if anyone experiences 'blockiness' (like minecraftish terrain), I quickly troubleshooted the problem. The heightmap tool is importing 'pixelated' images and counts them into the terrain, which explains the squares. How I found this out was, I used Battlecraft to export a Battlefield 1942 terrain in *.RAW format (which is non-pixelated), imported into Photoshop, then saved it in a JPG. Terrain is super-smooth. Just thought to let the good peoples of GG know.

Are you using Googlemaps or just Quixel do so?
I guess HM2GG do the rest of the job.
Nice landscapes, the sky match fine; interisting way to do terrain, I wonder if substance do something similar?

Just quixel mixer on this. It has a paint displacement mode that is just wonderful to make terrains in.

Careful BOTR, Mixer is addicting. Also free beta for the rest of this year.
