Hey all!

Since this is neither a showcase nor a work in progress I figured I'd put it on here.
I have to admit that I jumped on the hype train for "cyberpunk 2077" and am looking very much forward to the release of that game.

In the trailer there is a sequence where a woman is peeking up an alley way only to avoid being detected by the search light of what seems to be a police drone. I like that scene in particular and went ahead trying to recreate its mood in Game Guru.

Now, I have not made any custom assets for this and the whole thing is more an approximation that took me a good hour.

The original:

And now here is my approximation:

Now I don't know if there is interest in this kind of stuff or if other people would be interested in that type of material.
I'll be fine tuning this whole scene sometime this week and try to add a character that resembles the original a bit more, despite really like EAI's short skirt lass.

Heh! Just for fun but in the end thats what its all about, no?

Good start but:

- Tint your blue lights more towards cyan (add more green)
- Tint your gold light slightly more orange (add more red)
- Reduce the ambience, turn up the global specularity a bit
- Maybe try reducing the range of your lights slightly
- The orange light needs to move up and to the right of frame and be as close to the wall as possible to create a rim light

Sorry, had my cinematographer hat on for a moment there...

Good suggestions here, especially about tinting it differently.
The golden light is just the sun, maybe I should put up something to keep it out and light it myself. Its too bright in comparison, daytime bright almost.
Color correction and a more resembling char, then I have to conclude this or move it work in progress though
Thanks for all your feedback, guys!

That looks great Wolf

Tried to copy your version in a low poly style, only using dynamic lights ( could have used a few more ):

But found i had no low poly girls with guns

Very nice stuff. Not heard of the game being used to compare against though, but not really been following E3.

This type of atmosphere could also work with zombies

Hey Preben!

I'm usually not a fan of the lowpoly art style but your scene has got a great atmosphere. Except that it looks modernday rather than futuristic to me but that might have been intentional.

@DVader: Me neither, E3 is kind of a cringe fest to me. I've been following this project since it was announced. Here is the website!

In what profession??

@Defy: The version in the screenshot is an idle pose but I also have the model operational in GG. In an earlier inception of my game "Acythian" that was also lighter in tone, she was supposed to be a third person view player model.
I quickly noticed that third person was not gonna happen soon and scrapped that idea.
I also had her as a player model for first person. But no HUD arm rig to go along with it so I eventually scrapped that idea too.

I had some more fun with this, edited the lighting as suggested and also imported a character that looks more like the one in the trailer.
However, I ended up liking Errant AI's char much better:

A lot of images here:

I was playing around with it as well, tried some different colour schemes which are intentionally different from the trailer
And that concludes my little GG art project.

Ah! I can't just share it! You'd have to hit up EAI about purchasing the pack. She comes with a lot of quality animations and different variations.

Also thank you!

This skipping off playing around is unacceptable ...... get some work done and stop messing around!

Seriously though, it is a 3d canvas and reckon you can't resist it....carry on. Always liked your Art style....nice work.

@wolf, love the style flow also. Gets me amped.
Edit, just read above. I'm curious now to look at 3rd person setup see what's happening down in that department.

@rolfy, hope all is going well and yes I agree

All work and no play makes Wolf a really dull boy

Its also with the software being in such a state of transition lately that I want to wait for the next update to get back to my current w.i.ps.
I also just wanted to see how this would look

the main problem of yoru scene is, it's no lights & shadows so everything looks flat !
you can improve your scene by adding static lights !

You can see static shadows on everything except for the floor. It didn't project there and I didn't find out why.
Scene is done as is or I'd have to move this to work in progress, but that is more for game projects so I just leave it as it is.
