I have followed the instructions in the GameGuru PDF manual from the help menu, and have made a simple game - simple landscape, a few characters made with the character creator placed on the map, and the player has a gun and can shoot and kill the static characters. However, I am now stuck.

First, I just want my NPCs to follow waypoints or a path, but I have no idea what AI script to give them. ai_wanderer.lua seems to be *almost* what I want, but when the NPC spots me they deviate from their path and follow me. I just want him to ignore me and carry on with his path.

Second, I can't figure out how to give the characters animations - at the moment is is just a rigid character floating along a path.

Can anyone help? Thanks!

Just place a waypoint near a character and they will naturally follow it until you are detected ..
which of the NPC;s are rigid ? which ones are you using ..
And what version of GG are you using ?

I am using whatever the latest Steam version is.

I have got them following waypoints, but I just want them to follow the path - not to change behaviour when they detect me or are shot.

All 6 of my characters are rigid, all 6 were created with Character Generator within the GameGuru program

Thanks

Your civilian waypoint script solves the issue with the characters getting distracted, thank you! My characters are now following waypoints perfectly

But any character I make with the GameGuru character creator doesn't walk, they just glide - is there any way to fix this?

Thanks again for your help

Just created one and it works fine for me ?
Try verifying your installation via steam ... perhaps you have a little code corruption somewhere .

Thank you, 3 files were different, Steam updated the files and now any new character creator NPCs I make are walking as normal. Thank you everyone!
