I just recently finished up a pack of Entities that included entities that I could make into a smaller pack - 'Gothic Furniture', this pack consists of 6 entities, they all have a shine to them as though they were recently polished plus the Chest and the Foot Rest have leather tops, the Foot Rest looks like feet have worn the leather top over years:

Gothic Chest
Gothic Foot Rest
French Gothic Throne - [Queen]
French Gothic Throne - [King]
Cupboard 01
Chair 01

All of these can be bought singly as above but as I have said they have been put into a pack as the image below shows:

Just follow the link below:

Gothic Furniture Pack

Enjoy.

Hi everybody, I just thought that I would let you know. I have released my 'Chambers' pack that comes with all sorts of odds and sods, it also includes the 'Gothic Furniture Pack', so you are getting two in one. It is in the store now.

Here is the link if you are interested.

@Stab in the Dark Software Thanks for the advice but I am not sure what you mean by the smoothing groups being incorrect, do you mean the Gothic Furniture pack or the chambers pack and if you mean the chambers pack then where.

Sorry to be a bit unsure of this but there are a lot of models above your post.

A lot of what you see that I think you might see as a smoothing issue is texture, these are supposed to be a very old piece's of furniture, so the edges on the what would be chiseled area is not supposed to be clean.

This is the main Cupboard without the texture:

And with the texture:

Andrew...

I hope this clears things up, if you are still unhappy then please let me know and I will address the problem.

Yes, but it is not rendering in GG like that because the model does not have correct smoothing groups.
You may be losing the smoothing groups when you export from your modeling software.

I think that what you are trying to say is that when I have put a smoothing modifier on the model that this is getting lost, the trouble with this is that I have not put any smoothing modifiers on this model, I didn't think that it needed it.

Here is a closer view of the Cupboard when in GG:

All models need to have at least one smoothing group.
Look at all the black shadows that are misplaced all over the model.
Does it look like this in your modeling program?

P.S. apply one smoothing modifier with a 60 degree angle to the whole model.
Then see how it renders in GG. Without at least on smoothing group the model
does not have the correct normals for the edges. A hard edge on your model does not
get split normals but instead has only one per edge.

Thank you Stab, smoothing groups are not what I thought they were, I have had a look into this based on what you have said and I have got to say, I did not know anything about it. But I am still learning and appreciate any help given. I did add a smoothing group to the model and the new model did seem to have more contrast in the colours, it was only slight but I showed my wife and she picked out the one with smoothing as the better-looking model.

I am going on hols for a couple of weeks but I will be seeing what I can do after that.

Thanks for the help.

Just for the summer and because the weather is so great I have decided to bundle up everything that I have and sell it at a huge price cut.

I have put it into a pack that consists of all my packs/models, it will only be available for the summer, so grab a bargain while you can. I have 37 packs that consist of 784 products and if you added all these packs together they would cost $325.96.

Of course, if you bought the items individually they would cost considerably more. Well just for a short time I am offering all of this for $100, that is less than one-third of the original price of the packs and the Items price is $582.03, which gives you an astounding 82.82% saving.

Have a look:

Have a great summer.

Might help if you put up screen shot of the models with the fixed smoothing groups.
