Back in the day of mapping with the Radiant quake editor when you saved a map you actually got 2 files ... " .map " and " .Bak "
The " .Bak" was basically a backup you renamed to ".map " if anything went wrong ( it did and was more common back then )

Just wondering how difficult something like this would be to implement into GG ...
Seems like a good thing if you don't backup every save manually ?
The only person ever to get all his work done by "Friday" was Robinson Crusoe..

thats a great idea, It cant be too hard to implement. Especially if you can specify a different backup directory as well.

Should not be too hard I think it needs half an hour(without the specific backup directory)
Make a github request and I think someone will add it
