Bug Reports / Default Static Field Missing For New Objects

Something has been happening recently that is a bit hard to explain and I cannot tell the cause and its appearing more and more to be something related to the newer updates (public previews).

When I create a new entity with a new FPE document. Whether i use defaultstatic = 1 or 0 in the Game Guru editor there is no way to enable or disable default static. The field just... isn't there.

Does anyone know the cause of this? With older FPE files the option is there but not newer ones.

Thought this could be toggled with the Y key when placing in the editor.
I will check with the FPE statement and see how they come in now. some set to static and some set to dynamic.
Fields in the properties panel have been changing for a while. Old ones out and some new ones present now.

I completely forgot about the Y toggle. Thank you so much for reminding me this is really helpful. I'm assuming the default static field was removed intentionally since we have this Y toggle option.

Are you setting ischararcter = 1 in the fpe? I know it doesn't appear then.

Yeah i had his issue with some of my models, and for ages i couldn't work out why the static/dynamic drop down wasn't available, then i realized i had reused a character fpe and forgot to remove the ischaracter line.

Primary Desktop:
i7 7700,k NV1070 8GB, 16GB 3200mhz memory, 1x 2TB Hybrid, Win10.

Secondary Desktop:
i5 4760k, NV960 2GB, 16GB 2333mhz memory, 1x 2TB Hybrid, Win10.

Laptop:
i3, Intel 4000 series graphics, 6GB memory, 1x 500gb HDD, Win8.1.

are you using the importer from within GG?
could you provide a model that does it? will test it too.

no importers nope just 3DSMAX export for X format that i been using since FPSC days. Only noticed past few versions started doing this. Are you saying that this information is stored in the mesh itself some how? Otherwise i cant see what im doing with FPE's differently from stock:



FYI: defaultstatic, physics and isImmobile in the FPE doesnt bring the drop down field back.

well the GG importer will create a fpe file for you... but i just tried your fpe on 2 objects;
1 barrel and it shows the drop down as expected
1 character and it doesnt show the drop down...
so yes it does appear GG has some other checks.
