If it's black it usually means that you haven't set it's textures up right in gameguru.
It depends on how the textures are applied to the model, there's two types:
1. Multi-Tecture: This is where there is more than on texture for the model, for example one for the skin, one for the clothes, one for the eyes, etc.
When you have a multi-texture it's usually referenced from directly inside the model, so in gameguru you need to leave the line "textured = " in the .fpe file blank
2. Single Texture: This is where there is one single set of textures for the whole model.
When you have a single texture you usually need to reference the texture externally via the .fpe file, add the name of the texture to the "textured = " line, so for example is your texture is called mantexture.png then it should read textured = mantexture.png
