Hi Everyone,

I hoped anyone could offer any advice regards importing 3D models into GameGuru.

I have searched around online but all info I'm coming across was written years ago so I'm struggling to find up-to-date info regards the subject.

I can confidently model in SketchUp - This is what I want to primarily use, and I have a little experience with blender but it takes me ages to do stuff in it.

My question is, How can I export my models from SketchUp into GameGuru? If there is no direct route and I have to push the models between a few programs to get there then that's fine.

I have never used sketchup but a quick google search shows you can probably import it into blender:
https://www.katsbits.com/tutorials/blender/sketchup-import.php

and from there you can export it as a .x file and import it using the import tool in game-guru to generate the FPE file.

Fine tune as necessary (as likely it will need fine tuning)

So one of the more competent modellers can probably provide you with more detailed info.

Hi Aaron Marsh, GraPhiX is the man to ask he uses sketchup all the time for he’s models.ime sure he will spot this and get back to you.

Hi Aaron welcome to the forums, Granada is right 90% of my models are made in Sketchup you will need some plugins and a UV mapper (not the one you can get with sketchup its pants) I recommend Ultimate Unwrap 3D.

I have created a basic Tutorial here https://forum.game-guru.com/thread/218774 which should be enough to get you started if you get stuck either post here or send me a pm.
