I've decided to make the Egyptian models in my poly planet style for now and add to the poly planet series so i can get some more packs out before this years lost, and then at the beginning of next year re-texture them as quality models for a higher quality Egyptian pack.

Here's an obelisk and a pillar i'm working on.

The columns will be part of a grid snapping kit, so you can do things like this ...

Cheers Dave. I've got quite a bit planned for this one, there's going to be various paths, about 5 types of column, enough different types of lintel pieces to make it either variations of the picture above, or whole roofed areas etc. i'm planning on wall kits for building indoor tomb scenes etc. I have various styles of pyramid, and Egyptian housing, and then i'll move onto incidental items, like pottery, sarcophagi, statues etc.

To start with this will be a Plastic Polly Planet pack, with simple cartoon like textures, with high shine to make them look plastic like. I'll then move on to making a similar kit in a wild west theme, hopefully getting them all out this year to bulk out the 2018 Belidos collection.

Starting next year, i will work on sculpting high poly versions of both packs (the high poly versions will have their normal's transferred to the low poly versions so they look high poly while being low poly, that way i can have dents and cracks and broken bits without actually adding any polygons) and producing more realistic quality textures for another pack release.

Note: Timeline is not set in stone, it's a lot of work and i'm trying to squeeze it in before the end of the year, so it might be a bit later.

Added a third style of column.

Bare in mind these are the plastic poly versions, so only plain colour textures, when i convert them to the HQ4k versions they will have much more detail.
