There is a .dbo already.. Will i have 2 of them then?"
.dbo files for models are basically a very basic model file generated by gameguru to speed up loading it into gameguru, kind of like a cache file. As long as you have the .x file then you can delete it, what will happen is a new file will generate when it's loaded again, that's why sometimes .fpe changes don't stick, because the .dbo caches some of the information.
Before you do delete it though, just check the .fpe and make sure the model reference isn't for the .dbo, as models brought in via the importer will be set up to use the .dbo (i have no idea why Lee did it this way, maybe it was an early attempt at model optimization?) instead of the original model file. If in the model reference it has modelname.x then you are good to delete the .dbo.
