It would be nice if we had somewhere on the GG forums were we could request features from coders to be added,free or paid for Now GitHub is up and running.

Lee has already mentioned something like through official channels ..
The only person ever to get all his work done by "Friday" was Robinson Crusoe..

I just read that,cool.but we will need somewhere we can post our requests so they don’t get lost all over the place .that way the coders here can go through the list and pick out what they might want to pick up and work on .there are some things I would pay for as would others I think.

Yeah not sure where features will go now. since the github will be using an issue tracker. This is not the same as feature request postings.

EDIT: Correction a new label has been added called "enhancement". So feature request posts can be made to the issue tracker.

I have a paid feature request (or free if possible!)

Can someone add a feature so we can place dynamic lights which cast dynamic shadows?

I'm not expecting this for every dynamic light as that would likely destory performance but would be great if we can make specific lights cast dynamic shadows perhaps by attaching a LUA script to them or something.

Am hoping this will be possible as there is already 1 dynamic light (the sun) in GG which does this so I guess the functionality is there already but extending this to other lights in the game. This would be great for levels which are indoors etc.

Random question but are we able to move the sun position dynamically via lua? in Dx11?
