Hahahahah! I can't take it anymore.
I'm using 05/12 version and not public preview.

Standalone, in latest tests I'm making for some levels, is taking random textures. This time (but it can change) it took DOORS texture and put it on buildings, cars, and other things.

I don't even know what could possibly cause this.

That's a strange one. You might need to revalidate Game Guru with Steam.

I'm assuming you made this map in the public preview and saved. Then reverted your Game Guru version and loaded the map in.

It's an old map I built in this version and once saved with few difference in PP, but it also happened in another map that I didn't touch with Public Preview.

I remember this isn't the only time it happened. Do we put it in the bug trackline?

I'm gonna gamble here and say that's not random textures...
It just one !!

Looks like the same texture sheet or UV .. How or why I don't know but firstly I need to locate that texture.
If I have it of course as it looks like a classic which means it could be an import ?

If its an old map you've made a standalone of in the preview version, then it might be the light map, if you have an old light map it may not be compatible with the public preview version, try either remapping (if you can get lightmapping to work), or removing the light map, then export a standalone.

Belidos is right ... Of course That makes perfect sense , Removing the light mapping and re doing it would probably rectify the situation. I have had similar weird things on old maps caused buy old light mapping ( Not exactly That ) but definite model issues

I wouldn't re light map in DX11 yet its just not working correctly

No, built under 05/12 release.

No. I said "random", because this time it was the DOORS textures, in another run it was different.

Guys, I just tried to run it again (it's the same standalone, not another build) and this time, buildings and cars had their normal textures.
It's really a random thing I couldn't explain.

This reminds me of an older bug for wich in standalone builds terrain texture appeared black, do you remember?

Please keep an eye on this report for the bug list.

There are a ton of bugs related to standalones. I have no idea if TGC has any plans to fix issues related to them anytime soon.

EDIT: Lee has just seen Cold Contact and says he is interested in sorting out issues with it (which are mostly related to standalones). Fantastic news

I'm almost resigned that I'll have to release a buggy game, it's too painful to switch to another engine at this time.
