Changing the properties of multiply selected entities would be awesome in itself! As would being able to create a specific quantity of an entity.
Been there, done that, got all the T-Shirts!

That wouldn't work ... Grabbing buildings and Characters just have to many individual different properties.
But for copying and Pasting I will bet lee could Re-Implement it in less than an hour .. He did disable that function for a reason though as it was causing problems so its more a case of if the issue was solved

@synchromesh: I meant multiples of the same type, for example I have 64 'hot steam' decals in the new_moonlander prezzy, if you wanted them all to have a different script or you want to rename say 16 of the 64 it is a bit of a pain (easiest way at present is to delete all except one of the ones you want to rename, then rename the remaining one and finally make 15 copies of it. Can get very tedious!

When I work on scripts I like to test out the next version but leave the original intact, I can manage this by renaming the old one and having the new one have the same name as the original but I need to be really careful to not accidentally lose the original doing it this way.

Been there, done that, got all the T-Shirts!

Reading all the posts in the bunch of threads related to the public preview that are spread around this board I reckon they got better and more urgent things to deal with, would be awesome if 'Santa' Lee had a gaggle of elves working all year round on this but sadly he doesn't. You get these 'need' and 'want' requests posted on the product board every time a new release of any sort happens

I would actually agree (with some of this) but don't think this is the right time (or board) for feature requests. As far as the public preview is concerned I won't be going near it till it is stable and bug free, don't know how long that will be but if it gets held up any further my interest will diminish accordingly.

Wonder what happened to volumetric particles?

Don't disagree with the 'wants' here but was kinda hoping the planned dev and bug fixes would be done first.

Cheers.

You didn't actually ask for it before Xmas ..
I got the impression you just wanted confirmation he would add it in for the next release. I think its a little wishful thinking for him to release another version just a few days before Xmas .. Like I said we don't even know if he fixed the original issue .. Plus the fact he may now be on his Xmas hols after his last post ..

As far as I know its still planned..

Absolutely agree. During a big update is not the right time to be asking for things outside the scope of said update, Lee needs to focus on what he is doing and finish it. This is why we get half baked updates, because people won't leave him alone to finish what he is doing. To be really honest, some of the requests I've seen, and the way people have reacted as if it's the ultimate insult to them if their request isn't done immediately, comes across as childish and needy, some people need to take a step back and look at the bigger picture (and yes that includes me, i'm as big a culprit as anyone else).

Funny enough last night I thought I was doing something wrong when I was unable to extract a select group of entities for copying to the clipboard and pasting. Completely forgot that is not even possible in Game Guru.
