I've found all sorts of ways to change water color or wave density, but is there a way to change the texture of the water? I've tried and it shows up in the editor but not when you test. It's still translucent with reflections but no discernable texture change. Any help to make my texture appear less translucent would be great. Thanks!

Yes you can lose the transparency and reflections via the sliders now … Or am I reading this wrong ?

Are you changing the water textures in the Files\effectbank\reloaded\media folder?
Is this for the water plane or water entities?

It's for the main water plane. In the editor I see it just fine only not animated but when testing it shows up as the normal water. I started this before water entities were a thing.

Hi - the translucency and wave effect is all done via the water_basic.fx shader. The water texture itself (waves2.dds) is only used to provide the ripple/wave normals for the shader calcs. You can try other normal dds textures instead and will get different results

There is a water transparency slider but I guess this musn't be what you're meaning? I'm not properly following what effect you're wanting

The texture used to represent the water plane in the editor isn't the same as for in game, it's just there to show where the water plane will be.

Cheers.
