I already have a website for my youtube channel and I want to ask that - Is it good to create a website for my game?

Eh, that really depends on how widespread you want your game to be. If you aim to have a commercial release and believe you have it in you to make a game that will be liked and played by several thousand people its good to have a web page with all the necessary information. If you are just starting out and nowhere near that its not necessary.

People gravitate more towards profile sites like indieDB or Steam and get a lot of their game information on youtube and social media. If you link to an indieDB or steam profile (or itch.io or what not) is just as good to many as your own website.

In conclusion: Personal preference.

As Wolf says m8 your own website is a means to an end, i have 1 with my games on it but tbh i tend to use it more atm for files that are to big for the forum. I just load them up to it and link it from here. In saying that though any website you make is good experience in website design and the more you learn the better it becomes, same with GG its all a learning experience.

If you feel your annual sales of your game can completely cover the cost of your domain name... then why not

@Teabone The cost of the domain name is not high. I can easily afford it.
And thanks to everyone for valuable feedbacks.

I pay £5 a year for my swgrp.co.uk domain, and I can make as many sub-domains as I want, so yeah not very expensive at all.

Social Media and viral marketing seems to be the best way to push a game. You can even make a Facebook ad to point to your Facebook page of your game. I find that works really well. I've actually purchased three games that have shown up on Facebook ads.
