Since Months I have been working on my new project.

Today, I just created the standalone just to try if it works.
And guess what, It didnt.

First levels loads perfectly.

Second Level is mainly with EBE buildings and some entities and enemies.
The very first room does load, but everything after does not.

Literally the entire Level is missing. Also the movement is double the speed as in testgamemode...

I dont get it... Any advice?
This is frustrating.

I just found out that the ebebank folder is completely missing in the standalone.
gg does not extract it. You have to manually copy it over.

Will see how it works now. Will post the result.

EDIT:
At least it didnt crash right away, but there is still 99% of the level missing...

Standalone is buggy. I hope this will get looked at after the DX11 is done, I have similar problems, missing assets and textures, and the save game does not save the collision status of opened doors, I have found.

I haven't exported any EBE to standalone but I'm willing to bet with as simplistic a system as game-guru uses for standalone generation you can probably look at the structure of the folders, figure out what's missing and copy/paste it manually.

I wonder if this would work ?

Try removing the .ebe file from the folder for that model ... This will turn it into a normal model then re create the standalone..
DO NOT DELETE THE ( .ebe ) just paste it somewhere safe ..
you can add it back if you want to edit the model at a later date

Worth a try to see what happens ?
BTW.. That's a cool looking Level ..
The only person ever to get all his work done by "Friday" was Robinson Crusoe..

Okay.

So I completely removed the lightmaps. AND ALL entities are here! Instead of enemies. they are shown as tiny little white balls.
Here is an enemy. He is moving AND shooting.... lol



So it's gotta be the lightmaps !

Look here: No lightmapping and the level is there now.




Still, the moving speed of the player is 2x as it should be. Strange isnt it? I have no idea why.....

I think it's a problem almost everyone.
Hoping that in the new version they have solved this tremendous bug, which makes people frustrated after working hard on their projects.

Something is resolved by manually entering what is missing, but that is not always the case.

Moving faster might just be an increased fps?

White dots are from missing or broken .x/dbo files.

The lightmapper can cause models to be missing but I've only experienced it with random entities and not entire maps -
I never found a cause for it, it just seems random (generally replacing the entity and mapping again will fix it).
but also could be a memory issue (light mapping requires more memory compared to real time as the shadows are already loaded) or maybe just occlusion messing up with the new objects made from the ebe?.

it's not an increase in fps, it even happened to me sometime after the buildgame, runs more than normal, and you see it's a bug.

No its like 2x faster than I did. Gotta be another issue...

So you mean I have to delete and place again every entity?

I am sure it is that. Maybe I can cut the level 2 in levels. Would be interesting to see if it loads then!
