Just got Game Guru and when in testing mode I can't light map or do anything that requires using the function keys. It just pops me out of Game Guru or does other things as my F1 through F12 keys all have pictures on them for turning the volume up / down, searching, brightness etc.

Sounds like your function key [Fn] on your laptop mat be stuck.

May even be the other way round, I've got a BT-driven keyboard where you actually have to press the Fn-Key to have the F-Keys do their hereditary job,
while without that, they perform those multimedia functions. True developers seem to be counting less and less ;(
