Hi everyone - does anyone by chance know how you could make it when you enter a building in top down view that it would remove the top of the building so you could see the player running around inside the building? Only have it do it when the character you are controlling in top down view enters a building it would slice the top of the building off so you can still see the character. Just like how in editor mode it slices the top half of the building off when you are building inside of it. Anyone know how do to this?

At the moment I'm not even sure that's possible ..
Most of the editor features are hard coded so there's nothing really to script as far as removing the rooftops.
The only person ever to get all his work done by "Friday" was Robinson Crusoe..

Copy that - thank you sir. I had a feeling that was the case :/

Another question - anyone else that has made top down view when you save the standalone game does the game load up in standalone all strange and like the character is below the map and 1st person view again? Thats what mine is doing. I was going to take an in game GG video and a video of the standalone to show for ideas on what to do to fix it if that is okay?

Top down is working fine.
But yes, you can not see thru the roof, so no chance to see what’s going on inside.

Only way i can think to do it would be with custom models, for each building have two models, the bottom half and the top half. Place them in the editor and create a script that goes in a zone which hides the top half model when you're in the zone, and shows it when you're not in the zone.

Primary Desktop:
i7 7700,k NV1070 8GB, 16GB 3200mhz memory, 1x 2TB Hybrid, Win10.

Secondary Desktop:
i5 4760k, NV960 2GB, 16GB 2333mhz memory, 1x 2TB Hybrid, Win10.

Laptop:
i3, Intel 4000 series graphics, 6GB memory, 1x 500gb HDD, Win8.1.

This is probably doable in next release using the same model as can use lua to alter the alpha of the buildings in the entity shader (in the same way as editor does it to cut off roof when required).

Cheers.
