I been trying to find a way to launch a missile. And having it fly through the air. And explode with a large mushroom cloud. Would this even be possible? I had a few jabs at it. But it didn't look right. The explosion decal just keeps blinking. In my game project a nuclear war breaks out. And I need this sort of thing to work. Any suggestions? Thanks

I can not help much, but maybe some advice you should have already thought ... because not an animation, a cutscene video ... I do not think the character should be on the scene escaping the missiles ...

Thanks warlock12! A cut scene video is what I had in mind. But I would still need to perform that task. I don't want to get into to much detail about the game. But, this game will have a scene or scenes of a nuclear attache. Like if world war 3 broke out. Each time a country Declares War or attaches your Country. You get three multiple choices. The 3 choices consist of (A) Negotiate for a peaceful solution (B) Send in Troops.(C) Nuke them. What ever you choose? I would like to show a small cut scene of the players choosing. I wanted to create the scene and record it using my screen capture program. I might just scrap this project for now. To much of that LUA know how for this to work. Maybe I'll win the Lotto someday so I can quit my job and have some time to learn lua script. Lol

Ah wow, I mean it's antiquated but I can respect that level of work going into making that effect.

Blacknyt46 ... I love the possibility of the elections in a game and depending on them will have their corresponding outcome ... Uf ... LUA is one of the great challenges .. I admire small G ... really a genius in what it does to LUA ... I regret that some time ago it has moved away a little of GG ... With its scripts one learns much !!! Bored of the Rings ... is a user of the forum that also in the moon is great! (he is doing some very good learning skills).

warlock12 I admire them to! And thanks for the links! Teabone, Lol Pretty Cool video! The blood shot eye effect was awesome! What I need is a broken window effect. I got the bright light and the camera shake down. I need that mushroom cloud! But animated. ? I have an idea? I'll be back.

I should add that i didnt' make that nuclear effect in FPSC. Its just a video I bumped into years ago of what someone else had managed to do in FPSC.

Pretty incredible for its time and what limitations we had. I think GG we could probably do something much better. Just would require creating or using an animated shader effect on the mushroom cloud.

WOW! I'm speechless! That makes me want to buy that game! My game is kinda RPG-ish. But that doesn't matter. Warlock12, I thought maybe the store would have something like what you mentioned? I couldn't find anything. Thank you for trying to help though. I was fooling around with those explosion decals again. And was messing with the fpe files. I was trying to slow down that blinking! With no luck. But I'm still trying to come up with something. I have another idea?

I don't think vertex animation works in GameGuru.

Belidos: Sorry... Yes ... Yes ... Animation by vertex will not work ... but if a properly organized nuclear mushroom is made with its corresponding bones ... if that will work ... you are an expert in modeling ...
