Is there any way to speed up the terrain sculpt feature?

It takes forvever to make huge mountains....

Any help would be much appreciated.
You know you watched too many of Lee's Live Brodcasts when you're at work and have an earwig from his twitch intro music....

By the way, I am a Modder, Soundtrack Composer and now Game Developer. Well, sort of.

I'm at work right now so I can't check, but I know there is a setting in the setup file to increase max size of the brush. Perhaps there is a setting for speed as well?

The only option for speed as far as I know is ctrl to slow down. I can't say I ever had an issue with it being too slow. In editor mode anyway, the speed used to be a lot slower in F9 mode. You could speed up your workflow by raising just one part to roughly the height you want then use flatten to make big areas at a certain height, then start sculpting.

I always found that for me the raising speed was on a kind of a curve, the higher you made the mountain the quicker it would grow, making higher mountains gets super fast and uncontrollable for me.

Okay. So I tried it again and it worked.

I now have a map with this super fast terrain editing mode.

If anyone wants to test it or use it for other purposes, go ahead !

Download it and use it for massive mountains and such.

Hello Duchenkuke, I think this was a great question. I have been trying to make some mountains for my cowboy game also, and this helped me also.

I checked your mountain map and tried some of these tricks and wow, it sure did speed things up!

Thanks one and all... and best wishes to all...
