base on the fact that nobody gives away free characters, like the way they give away normal made entities, i assume that it must be one of the most difficult 3d entity's to make from scratch or to even import a fuse character.?
I hope with the new update that it would be easier to import characters. ( even for people like me ) It would come in very handy to have a grater variety of character to use at this point . i still have to use the stock entities.

Hope for the best.

Same here, character creator is a good tool but very very limited.

I dont think its particually about the difficulty guys its more along the lines of the legality personally i have maybe around 60-100 fuse characters into GG which i would gladly post up for free but fuse did state that these could only be used in your own games/presentations and not for selling on or if i remember even giving away free, now that fuse 1.3 is no longer suported or sold I'm not too sure about the legalities of posting them up for free, I'll have to have a read up on it, there again Belidos might chirp in here as he's done plenty of reading on this subject

As Honkey stated, Fuse/Mixamo characters are for personal use, or commercial use inside a project (ie a game) only, they can't be sold, traded, or given away legally. As to Fuse 1.3, i'm not sure, but it has the same license as the new version, and I doubt they will write a new license, so it would still stand even though the software is defunct.

The problem is, character creation, rigging and animating, by itself is one of the hardest things to do in modelling for games, so not many people do it, the easiest way is as said, to use Fuse/Mixamo/FBX2GG, but you can't share those, so that's why you don't see many given away freely.

Hopefully, when Lee finishes the FBX importer it will be much easier to get them into GameGuru, but you still have the issue that you can only distribute your own models, so no matter what happens to importing in GameGuru it's still going to be a very specialist area for modellers.

Yes. well after all that you have just said Belidos, was it not then better for Lee to rather have spend time to Tackle the character creator and make it better so that it can compare to the likes of Fuse and Mixamo characters., than to be able to import character with FBX and still have a change of not being able to use it because there might always be a change of a conflicting license.

but again the character creator will have to be no:1 on the voting list.
I wont hold my breath

Even when he gets to work on the character creator again, this is simply not going to happen, Lee's already said multiple times that this is a game engine and not a modelling program and that he will not add that kind of thing, that's why we got the EBE in the form that it is instead of a more modelling style system. It will be made better eventually, with more options, but it won't be anything close to something like Fuse.

maybe that is why there has not been jet that special wow game / games out there were every one is talking about and is waiting for to change the image of what the people out there are thinking and talking about how awesome GG is. or could have been.
if you want the average person out there to be able to buy GG and make an awesome game, then you will need to have the full package for GG.

just my thinking.

I use Fuse and FBX2GG and I think that if you use those, it is actually quite easy to make characters. That's saying a lot for me... I'm not experienced at this kind of stuff and I'm so bad at modeling that I can't use Blender, because I can't figure out how to use a single aspect of the software. I have seen several tutorial videos on Blender and they make no sense to me.

You can see a lot of my cowboy characters on my WIP post - https://forum.game-guru.com/thread/216086

FBX2GG might cost a little bit of money, but it is well worth the money in my opinion. You will likely need to e-mail the creator of FBX2GG to get it though.

I wish you all the best...

Try reading what i said again.

You can use them in games which you can sell, but you can't sell, trade, or distribute a character on its own.

So basically if you make a fuse character and import it into gamguru, you can make games with it, but you can't get someone else to make one for you.

They probably wouldn't, but is it worth the risk? I do know that Adobe has taken action against people in the past for it, there was a guy giving them away free on the Unity store that got shut down for it recently.

It's like these people that say "pretend to be a student and get Max for free". What they don't realize is that models made with Max on a student license have a code embedded that allows them to know what license made it, and they know who has that license, if they come across anything commercial with that embedded code they can take action. It rarely happens because they don't have the resources to check every model, but there's always a chance.

I must say that I have chosen GG because it has an built-in Character Creator.... And I must admit that I was a bit desapppointed by this CC as it is so far.
in my opinion, an effective built-in Character Creator should feature separated head, upper [torso and arms] and lower body [legs and foot] and a much bigger selection of clothes type [ civilian, military/police, causal, smart, grunge and so on, something à la Sims to say short ). That would make GG as a whole highly attractive for both current and future owners.
Of course, GG is a one man's long work so I guess Lee would have to hire a 3d modeler, it's always a question of time and money at the end. But well, if we had an advanced Character Creator, focusing let's say on Modern Area, I wouldn't mind to pay for one or more Character Creator Kit DLC focusing on different areas ( Ancient, medieval/fantasy, wild west, world wars, sci-fi and so on ) rather than paying for DLCs with (roughly) updated FPSC Classic/Reloaded entities...
Hopefully, a first step update of GG's Character Creator will be sorting. So let's wait for it, Lee often offers us good surprises. Patience is a pre requisit for any GG user...
Cheers

@ PCSKILLER heres the link to the post m8 https://forum.game-guru.com/thread/215728

@ reyandekcire yeah m8 would be nice to just be able to use the GG character creator it is a little bit of a shame to have so little in the way of genre types, would also be a nice addition to have a character selection screen GUI so you could build or just add 4 characters to choose from but as you say its a time thing.
Think Lee would need to revist his lab and make up some more super human formula's lol maybe he will, we'll see

I think, if you want to purchase FBX2GG you need to contact Rafhalzer at bodzio3d@gmail.com

I think he will let you know how to pay and he will send you a link so you can download it.
