Good evening,

Does anybody knows how to fix the arms/legs problems of FSPC medieval villagers (see pictures) ?
Most of Medieval/Fantassy levels are quiet lifeless without any neutral NPC...

Thanks for any tips

Load them in Mender then save them out, it's a skin weight issue that Mender was specifically written for.

You can get Mender from this post on the TGC forums (you will have to log in there):

I must be completely stupid but it doesn't work for me...
I'm loading the .x file in Mender then I save the file. Am I missing something ?

No that's it, you open it with Mender, then save it, it should come up with a pop up to choose animation ranges, just accept it without changing anything, then wait, it should work.

That's always worked in the past for me, if it doesn't work then it might be a mesh construction error.

Try opening the model in DirectX 9's MeshView (attached to this post) then saving it, that usually fixes most mesh construction errors.

(don't forget that when you mess with the .x file you will need to delete the .dbo file that gameguru generates, and place it in gameguru from a fresh load or you will just see a cached model and not the changes)

Good evening Belidos,

Here is what I did up to now :
1) delete the character's DBO file in GG
2) Open the character's .x file in Mender
3) Save the character

Still not working (I guess the new DBO file is generated by Mender - same date and hour as the new .x file but I may be wrong)
I will try with MeshView
Thank you very much for your help

Were they part of an FPSC pack back in the day? I don't recall seeing those ones before.

Have you tried adding the following line into your character's FPE file? (fixed all my FPSC modern day SAS characters and others by adding this)

skipfvfconvert= 1
its like deja-vu, but all over again, again
