Thanks guys.

Yeah Ken, I've just seen your gate house, looks pretty good mate. I started making this model and some others because I recently went on a nostalgia trip and reinstalled lord of the rings online so I could have a wander around reminiscing, but within a few minutes I realized how poor the models and textures were, so I thought I would make my own models based on them and see if I could recreate a scene from LOTRO, then decided if i'm making them anyway I might as well offer some here for free and puit some on the store

I've decided to throw my Tudor style houses up for free.

4 different style models, using 3 different textures, totalling 12 entities.

These models only include the _D.dds textures, if you need _N or _S you will need to make them yourself.

Enjoy!

Thanks guys, to be honest these models are my rejects, while making a new model to add to the set i used some newer techniques and when i placed them side by side they just didn't match, the new models looked so much better, that's why i'm giving them away.

Quote: "Just wanted to say congrats on the User of the month banner - well deserved me thinks."

Thanks. Although to be honest at the time i got it i couldn't think of a single reason why i got it, must have run out of candidates :p and to be even more honest, i didn't really want it, i don't do things on here for accolades, i do things because i enjoy doing them, if i didn't i wouldn't be here

Quote: "This is very good low polygon modeling!"

Thanks Wolf, praise from community members like yourself is always an ego boost These models are pretty low poly, and it shows, far too many straight edges and sharp corners, these would probably go well with a low poly style game, but my current modelling aim is to produce high quality visuals on low poly meshes, i think with the two models i've showcased on my 3D progress thread are a good step in that direction and that's the style i want to maintain going forward, hence why these models were uploaded here for free.

Actually, you didn't have to tell us that. We're grateful anyway.

Oh, be quiet and except the appreciative award.

Belidos wrote: "These models are pretty low poly, and it shows, far too many straight edges and sharp corners, these would probably go well with a low poly style game"

Sometimes we need some low poly stuff that looks good.

Now that I have reprimanded for being so silly, I want to thank you greatly for you contributions. I also, will use those houses in a level map that is already on the verge of having high poly rates. I hope you took this in the light of which it was intended. Otherwise I can redact it if you wish.

Of course its bad to see a power user go, but its just a hobby and not a duty. If Belidos feels like taking a break he should. It does wonders for the creativity too.

Nope, it's nothing bad, i'm just a bit burnt out at the moment, and getting a little snippy, I need a break, and to be honest I don't really want to be making any more models until the PBR system and the DNS system are finalized and working together properly, making a model then having to change it again because something has been changed or fixed is a little counterproductive, so the timing is right for a break, only a couple of months or so, just to refresh myself.

I probably miss worded my initial post (it was also meant to be on my modelling thread not my free thread lol), i'm not quitting GG, i'm just not making models or levels for GG for a couple of months, i jst don't think it's worth making anything at the moment with PBR coming soon, i'd rather start modelling again for GG when everything is released and settled, i'll still be on the forum. In fact i have some ideas, and a few rough drafts for some models, i will be releasing when PBR is ready.

For example, i have a whole kitchen theme ready to start on:
