I'm working on a ww2 fps and I want some weapons from that time period

If you download the weapons welder programme that is available, you can then download previous FPSC entity packs. Not all of them are free to use, but a lot of them are. Lots of WWII resources in a lot of them too.

The Weapon Welder programme allows you to convert stuff from FPSC to Game Guru ready, and can be found here:

Here is a generalised list of what is in the FPSC model packs, just find the ones that say it has WW2 weapons and match it to the page of model pack DL links. Keep in mind, not every pack is available though:

Weapons are very time consuming to make, so it's doubtful anyone will have a lot to give away for free, so dl'ing and converting FPSC weapons is your best bet.

The fpsc ww2 entities have already been converted and are already free with gameguru, they're in your classic folder, if you don't have a classic folder in entitybank then you need to go into your gameguru properties in steam and enable the free dlc.

No you are not allowed to request models on these forums, there is an announcement that specifically states you cannot. This section of the forum is for people to offer free models, not for people to ask for them, the only time you are allowed to request items is in an existing thread where the thread starter has stated he is taking requests.

As to the WW2 models you are trying to convert, as I said, there is no need to convert them, they have already been converted and are free with GameGuru through steam.

@Belidos, there are way more FPSC WWII weapons than come with GG as standard. GG only comes with half a dozen, whereas the FPSC packs have a lot more scattered through them (like the Kar and Luger for example)

The WW2 weapons were left out of the free FPSC packs because the guy who made them is still selling them, and has converted them for sale on the store. Unless you already have the original FPSC packs then the ww2 weapons are not (or should not be) in them.

Thats a blow, i was going to make a request.

Because the original post did not specifically ask for someone to make models.

No actual Model requests are allowed .. However you can use the PM system ...

So it is how it's worded, "I want some weapons from that time period" is not a request, I am going to have to re sit my English A level.

I've made a lot of my models with Sketchup, and I have tried to use Edwin's xExporter, but there is no plugins directory in Sketchup unless somebody tells me how to get it working I can't upload models. I am using the latest version of Sketchup free.

As synchromesh and zero_HP have given pretty much all the info necessary, this thread being rather close to a request topic and it slowly degrading into an argument I'll go ahead and lock it.

@Purplewolf: A popular WW2 pack has been made by BSP. If there are less weapons in it than in the FPSC version of the pack you will need to contact the artist himself (via private message) about purchasing them. Converting them to Game Guru will then likely also be up to you but the tool Weapon Welder makes it easier.
