Is it possible to copy an entity and then paste it somewhere, if so, how?

Not copy and paste per say right now.

Right mouse click on the object you want to copy. Make sure you have all the properties set as you want all of them to be.
Choose extract. Hold the shift key and left mouse click where ever you want a copy of the object.

I habitually use a shiftkey + "left double click " (which is infact really a twofold left click)
to attach a copy of the designated entity to the mouse pointer While
keeping the "original" stay put exactly where it is; else, a MOVE of the selected entity is performed by "Extract".

We've been waiting a long time for a full copy/paste feature.
