Hi everyone. Here is the final version of RPGMark I first showed in my benchmark thread. I've added some extra scenery and tweaked a few things here and there. I've had to remove a couple of the people from it unfortunately, because for some reason they keep breaking It seems there are still some issues with AI and following paths. So, after numerous attempts I have removed them completely for this version.

AMD Ryzen 1700
16GB Memory
Nvidia 970GTX video card
Win 10

RPGMark 2807

I downloaded it and when I ran it said I was missing some Steam files (dll) . I copied them into RPGMARK and the test ran . I did get some static screens with color graphics when loading but during test everything had no 'color' , just the sky did . It was probably on my end somewhere but I ran it and got a score of 3591 LOW graphic settings and 2479 on medium graphic settings .

@ Earthling45, I altered the setup to highest only. So the settings will make no difference at all. However changing them mid benchmark will of course. To get a proper run you need to run it and leave it till the next run. I'll add that you can not run it twice from the same load at present. You will have all sort sort of cam issues if you try. Still there may be slight fluctuations in score since adding in the extra life (scenery)to it. The butterflies are semi-random so sometime they will not be in the same place. They are always active so I hoped that would work out the same overall.

@Lance. Works fine here. Seems to work for Earthling as well, so no idea what the issue is there. Perhaps a new bug in GG. I noticed an error the first time I ran it, but after that it seemed to run fine (no changes just ran it again). I've seen a similar issue before where it insisted to try to get some files from the a drive I don't have. When you ran it a second time that error seemed to vanish. The latter errors on a totally different standalone game.

Perhaps after all my tweaks and such, weird map glitching errors caused by the GG update and also the camera issues from the same said update - It may be worse than the original version. I've put way more time and effort into it in the end than I anticipated, including purchasing some extra media for it to boot. I can't spend any more time on this now and will have to get back to my AGK project again. I'll add that the editor runs so slow with this map it is barely use-able, so again another reason I just can't do any more, I can't bring myself to work on it any further. Imagine on top of the GG issues, having to watch that intro maybe a hundred times or more, checking if the butterflies are working okay at all points etc. I've got to the point where I just can't look at it now.

Hopefully it will work for most people as is.

Yes it run fine without problems on my end.
After the first run i've changed the settings to highest and started another run, as you say there was indead an issue so i've closed it and started it again to do a second run

Thanks for your clarification on the settings DVader.

There are only high settings, as DVader said earlier he's scripted it to be high settings only no matter what you choose on the graphics options. However as I said one post up I think the high score was a glitch because subsequent tests came out between 5500 and 5800.

My Uber PC laptop scored 2122 in 5:29 @ 1920x1080. A bit less than the early version, but everything was running smoothly. Nice job! When I was done, I went on an Easter egg hunt. I din't find any, and only one character besides the giant ant put up a fight, lol.

There will be variations between runs due to resources being used on the PC by windows and other software, a widows service might kick in during some of the runs, then not kick in during others, and make it seem like the settings are different.

Also, if you run it, then at the end go back to the main menu run it again, you will get a lower score because the resource usage doesn't always get cleared after completing it. To get a more accurate comparison for each run, run it from scratch for each test.

Thanks everyone. I get slight variations in scores as well, but it generally is about the same. As Belidos says there are other things that can affect it. A week or so ago I wondered why it was getting a much slower result. It was running a virus scan in the background

Considering my spanking brand new Ryzen 1700 scores a mere 2807 shows how fast Intels are in comparison. It's not overclocked at all and actually it's probably underclocked as it's running at 3ghz. I disabled the boost in the bios as it was throwing a lot more heat out when I was testing it with Planet Coaster (even more demanding than GG, but very fast though). With other games and apps I haven't noticed any speed issues, so unless I need it will leave it running cool

Sure. I'm not sure how many people will be able to download it all at once though. I imagine Google drive has some bandwidth limitations. You could always point people to my youtube channel as well There's several useful GG videos on there, plus other less useful, but possibly interesting to GG fans.

I was going to put in a few more things like, having the fights that you see on the way have a winner etc, but in the end had to settle for just the bug attacking you at the end. The merchant should talk to you as well, but nothing else. If the map ran at a decent speed and didn't run out of memory every 6 runs or so, I'd add more.

Probably best to leave as is now though I think. I might do something else when GG gets the DX11 update

I think this is a good 'basic' test . When DX12 is up and running in GG we can tell (see) if it makes a difference or not .

I wished we could leave postings not pertaining to RPGMark results out of this here thread, so, it will keep its main purpose: let people know where they are standing with their gear, and whether it's worthwhile doing deeper performance analyses.

There are several other threads discussing DX1* aspects.

@25-WATTS ; hahaaaaa I still have an Acer 5738DG, and we two are gonna teach you what a real slow RPGMark performer is, rest assured. Just wait 3-4 hours for the result!

Nice try yrkoon, you had me worried for a second!

Gave my main Game Guru computer a run at this.

Windows 7 Pro
8 GB Ram
Intel G2020 @ 2.9Ghz
GTX 750 Ti 2GB

RPGMark 1620
Runtime 7.11 @ 1920x1080

Lots of good info in this thread, like reliquia score with the same card but a i3 shows me what I would gain with a CPU swap to an i3.

I've still to properly test it, but it seems fairly good so far. It's not that much faster with GG unfortunately, it seems a little slow to load and the editor gets very slow indeed compared to before. Of course I am getting faster frame rates over all than with my 12 year old Intel. It runs every other game I have tested no problems though, Skyrim being quite a bit smoother now than with my old Q6600 machine. It's running at around 60 fps on 2K res, so not too bad at all really. It was nice opening up task manager and seeing 16 cores though

There's some seriously slow scores in the last few tests there! Not gonna be the best GG dev machines It sounds more like they are rendering the scenes!

There's some seriously slow scores in the last few tests there! Not gonna be the best GG dev machines It sounds more like they are rendering the scenes!"

Quite so, DVader, these are mainly supplied to show people what the bottom line is or can be.

I think my ATI 4570 HD was termed "HiPerformance with up to 2306 MB shared Video memory" in its time.
Actually, it runs the stereoscopic samples that came with it quite well in the given resolution, but , as shown, it is insufficient for GG.

Nevertheless, someone may come up with a like GPU (especially, as at least this GPU had been renamed 3 times by ATI / AMD).
