I see the new windows 10 Creator update features paint 3d, which exports to .FBX. Any use??

Well, without knowing, it sounds like it could possibly be a common denominator, available at least on every W10 (Creator) PC.

I played with it a few weeks ago when I got the update, but haven't tried exporting anything. Will give it a go some time today.


EDIT: Just tried a simple cube. It didn't import, or perhaps the scale was so small I couldn't see it. I will try importing into Blender and/or something else. One thing is for sure, it isn't UV mapped.

EDIT: The problem wasn't scale, and it WAS UV mapped. I imported into Ultimate Unwrap and it wasn't at origin. I moved it to the origin and resaved it and it crashed GG when I tried to import. I will mess with it a little more!

EDIT AGAIN: FBX is just too wonky. Blender export didn't work either, so I saved it as Direct x.

Can you send me one of your FBX exports? I am building a library of offending FBX test files

I just tried another export from 3D Paint and it imported fine. The original fbx also imported fine! Don't know what was going on!
