I think we need to de-couple the terrain from the main viewport, not everyone requires 3 million plus polygons to start with

if we had a system similar to the EBE where we could create a terrain save it then use said terrain as an entity, the FPS increase alone would allow for the more complex levels run smoother on low end systems, we all know if you turn the terrain off your level gets an immediate boost.

There seems to be a lot more indoor levels popping up now and I am positive this is happening because of the terrain hogs, we should not have to compromise and be able to create fast outdoor levels as well as indoor.

This could be done with an 'Advance Terrain' button so as not to defer new users whom just want to drop and play.
