Today (May 5th) is known as 'Revenge of the 5th'.
Very appropriate! I like it! Here, however, Cinco de Mayo takes precedence. We celebrate a battle between Mexico and France (in 1862, I think) where Mexico won against incredible odds. The Southwestern US (and perhaps by now, other regions) has appropriated this day as a holiday where we drink lots of tequila shots, margaritas, and Mexican beer. Some businesses even close early for it, lol. Mexico really does nothing on this day except, perhaps, acknowledge it. Kinda like St Patrick's Day. It's another excuse to drink, lol! We don't care about your culture, just share your important dates, and we will find a reason to drink. We actually have now more than enough holidays and excuses to drink and celebrate than there are days in the year, lol.
Quote: "And tomorrow, it's World Naked Gardening Day."
Interesting idea! I know there are websites that list all the holidays around, but it's been years since I've looked at any of them. Never noticed that one! I don't have an actual garden, but I do have yard work to do tomorrow, do ya think the neighbors would mind? I will have to refrain. I gotta think of the children. And possible jail/prison sentences. And having to be labeled/registered as a sex offender. Anyway, lol, I hope that those that can have a great day!
