Something somewhat strategy based has been made here.

As for real RTS support (selecting, commanding armies, building cities and so forth) ...well, I doubt that this would be tackled any time soon.
We're currently getting the DX11 update and I'm sure that there are tons of other things that are currently more pressing.

it would require a lot of (read almost all) custom scripting but it is actually possible in GG at this time, yes... though performance would likely be an issue, GG is not built for handling lots of units.

Mmm ... a good strategy game does not require many units, depending on what I understand. We have very good strategy games like Commands behind enemy lines and their sequels ... the Rainbow Six ... which are true strategy games and do not have a lot of models on the scene ... but I can hardly imagine how it works. Lua and I can not imagine what the moon would look like ... ha ha ha!
If small ... strategy games are an excellent goal ...

PS: mmm... I consider that also the saga "Thief" and "Hitman" are true strategy games not massive in models ...

Not even a little. Strategy is not the same as tactics, that aside both of these are stealth games.

Here is the wiki page for what an RTS is.

Examples of what a strategy game is: Age of Empires, Anno Series, Starcraft, Banished, Rome, the total war series...so forth.

Aye, I was going to say the same thing, I think he's mixing up his genres, those games he listed are mainly action/adventure games, with a bit of tactical strategy, a Real Time Strategy is a completely different kettle of fish, an RTS is basically a game where you build up your armies and set them to completing tasks, you don't normally control a single character in RTS. Games like Command & Conquer, Civilization, Total War, Age of Empires, Battlefront, and Star Craft are RTS.

Ok Good point...
We talk about strategy mechanics (RTS), not the style of play ... from that point of view: "Touché" Thanks for the correction !!! Agreement with uds.

as importance? I dont personally think so but then again this isn't FPSC Reloaded anymore its "Game Guru" soo.... i dont know I guess that's pretty open ended to any genre.

There is however mouse support in the engine so I guess the possibilities are opening up a bit more. you could technically now make a whole card game with Game Guru. Not sure how 3D models on screen interact with the mouse but im sure someone has figured it out. With that, an RTS would certainly be possible.

I'm just personally waiting for all the FPS elements to be finished
